Introduction Of Flotation Cell

Flotation cell, which is called flotation machine,flotation plant or ore flotation equipment,is a machine making use of the difference in wettability of the surface of the minerals to realize the flotation separation of the fine particles. The widely applied method in industry is froth flotation method whose features are that the ore pulp that is treated by floating reagent selectively absorbs onto the bubbles in the ore pulp and float to the surface of the ore pulp to form mineralized bubble layer to realize the separation of the minerals.

This flotation machine is suitable for separating non-ferrous and ferrous metals as well as non metals such as fluorite and talc.

Features Of Flotation Machine

1. Flotation machine is with large inspiratory capacity and low energy consumption;

2. Horizontal arrangement, foam pump is needn’t;

3. The peripheral speed of the impeller is low. The life of impeller cover is long. Pulp recycles in two opposite directions at a fixed manner, which helps coarse mineral suspensions.

Principle Of Ore Flotation Equipment

This machine runs by the triangle belt of the electrical motor driving the impellor to rotate, producing centrifugal effect which will form negative pressure, and on one hand it will absorb sufficient air in order to mix with the pulp, and on the other hand it will mix the pulp in order to mix with the reagents, and at the same time will refine the foam in order to stick the minerals onto the foam, and float on the surface of the pulp in order to become mineralization foam. The workers can adjust the height of the flashboard and control the liquid level in order to scrap the useful foam.
